String of OC Copper Thefts Speak to Property Crimes

Orange County police officers are on the lookout for a man who steals copper from local businesses. The man has used his own ladder to remove 270 feet of copper pipe. Detectives are operating off of the same assumption that this is the same man who committed similar crimes in Fountain Valley, Cypress and Orange. Detectives believe many more victims have no idea that their property has been taken.

Theft is one of the most common of crimes. Property crimes in particular have increased in Orange County since 2012. Auto thefts and residential burglaries abound in our community (you can get the statistics yourself here).
